Epitaxis or bleeding from the nasal cavity is common and most will stop spontaneously or by simple actions such as pressing a nose. Nevertheless there are also serious cases that require immediate assistance in order not to be fatal.

4. Congenital: hereditary hemorrhagic teleangiectasia (Osler)

According to the source, epitaksis divided into:
1. Epitaxis anterior
Derived from Kiesselbanch or a.etmoidalis anterior plexus. Mainly found in children, usually mild and easily above.
2. Epitaxis posterior
Derived from a.sfenopalatina and / or a, etmoidalis posterior. Often found in old age due to hypertension or arteriosclerosis. Usually severe and rarely stopspontaneously.
